Anti social behaviour and violence must not be tolerated

As many of you have heard, a boy of 17 was stabbed and another had “fluid” thrown in their face during a fight outside Mahli’s Supermarket on Bacchus Road at around 8.20pm on Yesterday (Wednesday 28th).

I do not know the background to the violence, but this type of antisocial behavior is extremely unusual in the ward.

WMPolice have made a statement:

“We were called at 8.20pm on 28 March to Bacchus Road, Winson Green following reports of a disorder involving a group of men.

“A teenager aged 18 was taken to hospital after a liquid substance was thrown in his face. It is believed his injuries are not serious.

“A 17-year-old boy was taken to hospital where he continues to be treated for stab wounds. His condition is described as serious but stable.

“An area of Bacchus Road has been cordoned off while enquiries continue to establish the circumstances that led to the assaults.

“An investigation has been launched and witnesses are urged to contact the police by calling 101 and quoting log 2372 28/3/18.”
